CompEx Training

CompEx Accreditation: The CompEx scheme is developed by the Engineering Equipment and Materials Users’ Association (EEMUA) and JT Limited, the CompEx  Certification Body – accredited by UKAS to ISO/IEC 17024: 2012


Course Overview:

This CompEx Ex01-Ex04 course will provide delegates with the required competence based training and assessment in the selection, use, maintenance, and inspection of electrical equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres, in accordance with the requirements of IEC 60079 series of relevant standards. Course Objective: On completion of successful assessments, candidates shall be issued with a certificate of core competence by JTL and EMMUA.

Potential Participants:

Delegates for the course should be competent electrical and/or instrument craft personnel. You are required to bring with you Photo Identification and suitable evidence that you are fully qualified in electrical or instruments or both.

CompEx:

CompEx is a national joint training initiative developed and implemented by the Engineering Equipment and Material Users Association (EEMUA). JTL is supported by the Health and Safety Executive. JTL who is that national training agent for the Electrical contracting industry has been appointed to develop, operate and manage the training provision across the UK and has licensed and accredited a number of centres to deliver the training and assessment.

Training Support:

A C&P Engineering Services Presentation will be delivered using supporting course hand-outs. The EEMUA Publication 186 A Practicioners Handbook will be available in centre for the duration of the course. Also EEMUA Publication 214 Toolbox Guide will be issued to all candidates. Theory training is followed by practical training and assessments.
